A. Special class for children 1-3 years old, with active parent involvement

CLASS CONTENT:

  • Songs and rhymes incorporating a variety of rhythms and tones
  • Gymnastic activities accompanied by music
  • Listening to recorded music and recorded sounds of a variety of musical instruments and the natural environment
  • Reading fairy tales with musical accompaniment
  • Rhythmic exercise with percussion instruments and ‘onomatopoeia movements’ (making sounds with the body)
  • Movement through games and rhythmic exercises

The course lasts 45 minutes, one time per week and each child should be accompanied by a parent who actively participates in the activities. In this way, we increase the child’s interest and draw on his or her natural desire to imitate and follow the parent. By learning the same games and activities as their children, and having already played together, the parents can easily apply the lessons outside of class when they want to play and have fun with their child. The course creates the opportunity for parents to discover new ways of communication in an atmosphere of joy and creativity!

  • Mentally: Understanding the acts of listening to, creating, or performing music which in turn trains the mental processes and requires the use of new mental function.

About Music Education

Music acts directly on the psyche of humankind. Especially when the world is malleable and impressionable like it is for children, the importance of music is great indeed. Music allows the expression of emotions, whether positive or negative, which contributes to the development of a balanced personality. The aim in music education is the pleasure the children get from the music, the sensitivity they develop inside themselves, and the discipline they acquire from their participation in musical activities.

Music offers teamwork, which the child experiences through many of the class’ activities. In some of these activities such as singing, movement, rhythm, etc., the child will certainly experience the feeling of success, which will in turn build their confidence. Through group singing, movement, games, and the playing of instruments, musical education offers wonderful opportunities for socialization.

Music is a powerful tool that encourages an introverted child to communicate with the world around him and gives him the opportunity to capture his imagination and reveal previously unknown creative forces.
Musical activities such as movement, singing games, or learning a musical instrument expose the child to self-discipline, control and the coordination of movement.
